{"id":15571,"date":"2022-03-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/makingpharmaindustry.it\/non-categorizzato\/farmindustria-concerns-about-implementing-decrees-delay\/"},"modified":"2023-08-28T14:24:04","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T14:24:04","slug":"farmindustria-concerns-about-implementing-decrees-delay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/makingpharmaindustry.it\/en\/regulatory\/legislation\/farmindustria-concerns-about-implementing-decrees-delay\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmindustria concerns about implementing decrees delay"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><strong>Farmindustria<\/strong>\u00a0February 21<sup>st<\/sup> press release expresses the concerns about the fate of the Italian <strong>clinical research<\/strong> sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The missed realization of the <strong>implementing decrees<\/strong> about new medicines development postpones the fully application of the<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/TXT\/?uri=celex%3A32014R0536\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> European Clinical Experimentation <\/a>Regulation\u00a0in our country, which became operational last January 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The delay brought several negative consequences and it is opposed to the growth and development hope, expressed by the President of the Council.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Besides, it limits the access to care (especially those innovative) to patients, and it negatively affects on other aspects, such as the chance to attract investments and the professional growth of all the specialists involved in the <strong>clinical research<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Risks with no implementing decrees<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the press release, the data of a <strong>Farmindustria<\/strong> survey have been published. They were about a representative sample composed of 34 companies, involved in <strong>clinical research<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>86\/369 clinical studies to start will follow the new community legislation. This is why they risk being carried out on a different country, if no <strong>implementing decrees<\/strong> will be adopted.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>According to the estimates made by the <strong>Altems<\/strong>\u00a0(Hight Institute of Economics and Health Systems Management \u2013 Cattolica University of Roma) Clinical Experiments Management Laboratory, whether these 86 studies will not start, <strong>75.5-93.6 million Euros<\/strong> of investments will go wasted.
