Olon<\/a>, leading international API supplier, is delighted to announce an additional investment which will further expand its global platform for developing and producing potent and high potent active ingredients, with the aim of being even more flexible, integrated, and capable of meeting the customers\u2019 needs throughout the entire API development phases and supply chain.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Company has kicked off the project to install a new high-containment production line in Olon India (Mahad) site, with advanced systems for containing and handling substances up to level OEB4 (up to 1\u00b5g\/m3). The new line will be suitable for producing medium-volume batches and will be able to respond to market requests flexibly, particularly in the CDMO field as well as for producing proprietary products.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The high-containment line will complete the range of expertise offered by the Mahad site and supporting the Group\u2019s strategy of promoting back integration\u00a0along\u00a0the entire supply\u00a0chain, including intermediates\u00a0and APIs.\u200b<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The new investment underpins the company strategy to strengthen the cross integration of business model: integration along\u00a0the\u00a0process of product development\u00a0and\u00a0of scale-up to industrialization – wide range of scale batch sizes -\u200b along with back\u00a0integration\u00a0along\u00a0the supply\u00a0chain offering both highly active intermediated\u00a0and\u00a0finished\u00a0API\u200b, and a seamless\u00a0integration\u00a0among\u00a0the\u00a0lines of\u00a0our\u00a0sites\u00a0around\u00a0the world\u00a0(US, Europe, India). Olon is rolling out an investment of 27 million\u00a0euros over 2022\/2023 totally\u00a0allocated to the\u00a0expansion of further internal expertise and capacity of\u00a0high containment production\u200b. The Group offers one of the most flexible and solid\u00a0platforms in the global market, for the\u00a0development and production of highly potent\u00a0APIs and highly toxic intermediates, with the\u00a0capacity to develop and produce from very small\u00a0to large scale, along the entire development\u00a0chain.\u00a0It supports the customer at\u00a0every stage of drug\u00a0development and during\u00a0commercialization,\u00a0\u200bwhich can range from a\u00a0few grams to hundreds of kg\u00a0per year\u200b.<\/p>\r\n
