The world of parenteral medicines is going through a phase of profound transformation which involves various aspects<\/strong>. On the one hand, the possibility of delivering genetic material using non-viral nanovectors opens up\u00a0new scenarios in research and challenges in development and production<\/strong>, on the other hand, the rigorous implementation of the Annex 1 guidelines has introduced new requirements requiring a particular attention to\u00a0guarantee the quality, safety and effectiveness of the finished product<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

These aspects will be the main theme of the\u00a0XV session of the AFI Symposium<\/strong>\u00a0entitled \u201cInteraction of modified drug release systems with primary container material: critical issues and new characterization technique<\/em>s\u201d:\u00a0<\/span>as it reminds us\u00a0<\/span>Bice Conti, professor at the University of Pavia and moderator of the session, the meeting will focus, in particular, on the challenges linked to the\u00a0evolutions and transformations of the world of parenteral medicines<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The interventions of the session will also try to present\u00a0possible solutions<\/strong>: in fact, the emerging\u00a0formulation approaches to satisfy clinical needs<\/strong>\u00a0will be discussed with the aim of personalizing the therapy on the individual patient, as well as the possible solutions to be implemented to\u00a0achieve the compliance with the requirements of Annex 1<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
