{"id":19659,"date":"2024-05-20T11:13:03","date_gmt":"2024-05-20T11:13:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/makingpharmaindustry.it\/?p=19659"},"modified":"2024-05-29T09:23:21","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T09:23:21","slug":"63rd-afi-symposium-interview-with-piero-iamartino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/makingpharmaindustry.it\/en\/afi-interview\/63rd-afi-symposium-interview-with-piero-iamartino\/","title":{"rendered":"63rd AFI Symposium \u2013 Piero Iamartino&#8217;s interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\" aria-label=\"Translated text\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwic7d7PgpyGAxXhgP0HHapVAfEQ3ewLegQICRAU\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">The eighteenth session of the <strong>AFI Symposium<\/strong>, <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">entitled <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;<em>The role of API in the developments of European Regulation<\/em>&#8220;, is dedicated to active pharmaceutical ingredients and focuses on the <strong>regulatory developments expected<\/strong> and their impact on the management of regulatory and production aspects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\" aria-label=\"Translated text\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwic7d7PgpyGAxXhgP0HHapVAfEQ3ewLegQICRAU\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">In view of the regulatory developments underway at European level <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">and in consideration of <strong>the growing importance of the sustainability factor<\/strong><\/span>, <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">the meeting will illustrate fondamental aspect <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">linked to this scenario <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">thanks to the three intervents\u00a0 of Dr Russolo, the current president of Aschimfarma, Dr Fumagalli, director of CPA, and Maggie Saykali, director of EFCG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\" aria-label=\"Translated text\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwic7d7PgpyGAxXhgP0HHapVAfEQ3ewLegQICRAU\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">In particolar, during the session attention will be paid to <strong>the key elements that will impact the management of the regulatory aspects<\/strong> and to the most recent<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\"> technological approaches for the management of production processes with lower environmental impact will be presented. Furthermore, an update will be presented on <strong>the situation of critical APIs<\/strong> under attention due to the risk of shortages and the most recent actions taken by the European authorities for the preparation and management of the health emergency in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In our video interview, Piero Iamartino, President of the EIPG and <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">moderator
