Sch\u00fclke & Mayr has acquired AM Instruments, an Italian company specialising in contamination control solutions and controlled environments for the life sciences sector. Announced on 16 July 2026, the transaction strengthens the German group\u2019s growth strategy in its Life Science division and expands its presence in the Italian pharmaceutical market.<\/p>\n
The integration brings together two complementary portfolios. Sch\u00fclke has been active for more than 135 years in infection prevention and contamination control, offering solutions for disinfection, antisepsis and professional hygiene. AM Instruments, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Limbiate, adds a range of cleanroom consumables, biodecontamination technologies, environmental monitoring systems, biological indicators, technical services and proprietary products developed for classified environments.<\/p>\n
The industrial value of the transaction lies not only in the expansion of the product portfolio. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, contamination control can no longer be reduced to the selection of a single disinfectant, consumable or technology.
